Indonesian salted fish fried rice recipe || nasi goreng ikan asin

Ingredients:
  • 300 grams cooked white rice (at room temperature)
  • 100 grams salted fish fried, shredded/torn rough
  • 1 egg, beaten off and fry while in scrambled
  • 1 leek/leaf chives, cut askew
  • 5 cayenne peppers (to taste), thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Chicken flavoring (optional)
  • Oil for frying
how to make:

  1. Saute onion, garlic and cayenne pepper until fragrant.
  2. Add rice, salted fish and eggs. Stir until blended.
  3. Add soy sauce, salt, pepper and flavoring (optional). Stir until all blended.
  4. Towards the end, add sesame oil and scallions. Cook, stirring frequently until wilted scallions.
  5. Arrange fried rice on plate and serve while warm.
